Painter Tammie R. Hildreth is interested in the disruptive and adaptive coloration found in the plant and animal kingdoms. Employing images from macrophotography and a vibrant palette to capture subtle color variations, she creates abstraction sourced from nature. The resulting images are representational, yet ambiguous. They inspire curiosity and celebrate the often overlooked complexities of the natural world.
Tammie R. Hildreth (b.1963, Illinois) earned her B.S. in Studio Art from Illinois State University. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally. She currently lives and works in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
