Vince Forte, Jr. had a long and distinguished career as an electric power engineer working in four states in the northeast as well as a manager/director of engineering for a third of New York State’s power grid. He now enjoys a second career as a fine art oil painter with over 3 decades painting experience and as a professional artist since 2013. His representational realistic style paintings depict a diverse range of subjects which interest him such as landscape, seascape, still life, interiors, religious themes, and portraits.
While Vince earned several engineering degrees his training in art was by the atelier practice similar to tutelage of the Renaissance period. Artists who have significantly shaped Vince’s artistic education include his father Vincent Forte, Sr. a renowned sculptor whose bronze works can be found in public venues around the Albany, NY area; Louis Pelky a painter noted for his realistic skies and seascapes; and Joan Lord a well known oil painter and author.
Vince’s paintings can be found in private collections as far west as Colorado and along the east coast as far south as Florida. One of his paintings is owned and displayed in a Catholic church.
