Aaron Scales is an artist, designer, musician and photographer with a background in architecture and an insatiable penchant for travel and all things international. Born a creative madman with a diagnosed art obsession, an early aid trip to rural Mexico beset him with an enduring travel itch that excursions through nearly thirty countries have yet to allay. A five-year Architecture degree from the University of Kentucky, design firms, publications and a national competition win later, the opportunity to combine his love of people, travel and design with a recruitment offer into international development relocated him to Washington, DC. After several US embassy designs, a consulate, Department of Defense and USAID work in Africa, Aaron launched the BroCoLoco design studio with his brother, Jared, after their art was featured in a film documentary by humanitarian group, loveistheanswer. Inspired by global cultures to engage global issues, Aaron and Jared create in a celebration of international diversity while raising funds and awareness for social causes.
