Adea is a blossoming artist living in a creative collective on Eastern Long Island. She has exhibited work across the US and has sold in Ireland and France. She has a BA in Religious Studies from Naropa University. She spent time as an apprentice to a Thangka Master in Nepal. After her studies in Asia, she traveled to Paris where she was able to experience the impressionists. Then to London to examine the more extensive history of art in the National Galleries. Her non-traditional and personal art education allows her to refine her works direction. Influenced by mindfulness in art, her work is based around the communication of inner realities. Adea is a painter but her work includes shooting and developing film, working with ephemeral materials, oils, acrylics, mixed media, and sculpture. A peek into her studio will show spray bottles full of wine, coffee, bleach, lighter fluid and something unidentifiable all used to add color and strangeness to her palette. She is working on her two major installations "The Anger Projects" and "The Gifts" they will both be making their debut by December of 2016.
