Andries Fourie is an artist,educator and curator who lives in Salem Oregon. He was born in Pretoria, South Africa in 1968, and emigrated to the United States in 1989. He holds an MA in Art from California State University, Sacramento, and a Masters of Fine Art from The University of California, Davis.

He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Art at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and previously taught at California State University, Sacramento, Sacramento City College, and Ashland University in Ohio. He has lectured, exhibited and conducted workshops in South Africa, Canada, Namibia and the United States. He is primarily a mixed-media sculptor, who includes elements of painting, installation and printmaking in his work.
