Allison Gonyer is an interdisciplinary artist and writer from Summerville, South Carolina. She is best known for her works that romanticize even the most mundane of subjects into colorful alternatives to reality. Gonyer is a primarily self-taught artist that takes inspiration from her personal life and the physical world around her in Charleston. Her pieces generally explore the anthropological world in ink and watercolor. She has exhibited her work in the Charleston Artists Guild and the Lightsey Center at the College of Charleston and is on track to receive her bachelors’ in Arts Management in 2021.
