Arline Kimbel Sadlon

Painted drawings...drawn paintings...Arline Kimbel Sadlon has been pursuing ideas in art for more than 6 decades. She honors the human spirit in creativity, an essence that exists in each paint stroke and graphite line: DRESS CODES (Social Codes) using oil sticks on glassine, GIVERNY ANXIETY (Paris Attacks) mixed media on paper, and currently, POTS (Homage to the Southwest Native American Pottery Forms) using acrylics and powdered pigments rubbed on mylar.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with honors, she was selected as a College Board Guest Art Editor at Mademoiselle magazine in New York City. She returned to the Midwest to teach art and exhibit at museums and galleries in Wisconsin, Illinois, New York City, Boston, San Diego, Paris, Speed Museum in Kentucky and several traveling exhibits.

Her work has been acquired by United Airlines, University of Chicago Business School, Marquette University School of Dentistry, Montgomery Ward, and the Racine Unified School District in Wisconsin, as well as area banks and companies.

She received a Graduate School Fellowship while working on her MFA at Northern Illinois University and was a Lecturer in Visual Arts at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL.

Recently she has authored several books including:
