Allison Svoboda Bio 2015

Allison Svoboda is an internationally recognized artist working in two dimensional paintings, installations and sculpture. Finding the edge between intuitive and deliberate mark making, Allison Svoboda’s work is both ethereal and ominous at the same time. Her sumi-e collage works are intricate paintings layered to create sculptural works. These paintings based on fractal geometry are also translated into large-scale works on metal and glass. Her artwork can be seen in public art installations, hotels such as the Ritz Carlton, Hyatt and Hilton as well as private collections throughout the world.
