Angela Maray grew up in Washington, DC in the mid 60's when racial tension was at its height. Her parents kept their inter-racial relationship a secret resulting in an isolation and sensitivity that was very conducive to Angela's work as an artist. After graduating with a degree in mass communications, Angela continued a search for communication for 14 years until settling down in Alexandria, VA, where she lives with her husband and daughter. She experiments with various media, working mostly with acrylic, hoping to make the most impact in the most simple way possible as to be understood by all.
