Alexia Mellor is an interdisciplinary artist who uses performance art as the basis of her practice to explore ideas of identity, security and globalization. She recently received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University where her thesis project, "Extending the Friendly Skies," attracted the attention of the Boston Globe and earned her a place amongst the six graduate students to watch. Mellor currently resides in Boston where she is a post graduate teaching fellow at the Museum School and the lead performance art instructor at two urban youth organizations.
