B I O G R A P H Y:

After graduating from a Fine Art Photography degree course in 1998, I set about learning as much as I could about the industry I had chosen to work in, by freelancing as a photographic assistant. It was a great time to learn! Digital cameras were still a way off from becoming commercially viable, and so knowing the craft of using film was as important as understanding lighting and composition. I joined the Association of Photographers, of which I am still a member, and I preyed upon some of the best photographers I could find to learn from. I assisted interiors photographers, architectural photographers, fashion photographers, portrait photographers, still-life & car photographers and as analogue turned to digital, I was there learning from some of the best people in London as the industry re-invented itself.
I travelled, a lot. It was great fun and every week was a new location, a different subject and a new team to work with. I learnt a lot too and it’s this knowledge that I can now draw upon in my own work.
