Multimedia artist Iggy Sumnik creates ceramic sculptures. Sumnik received his BFA from Detroit’s Wayne State University in 2004. Iggy has worked with clay and youth helping develop art programs at a variety of educational facilities including a Bemis Center artist in community resident in 2013-2014. Sumnik completed a three-year commitment as assistant to artist Jun Kaneko Studio in 2008. Since then, he maintains his own studio, in Omaha and now in Detroit as well. The artist is represented by Modern Arts Midtown in Omaha, Nebraska.
