My entire body of work, both the representational and the abstract, reflects a coupling of engagement with what is around me with introspection. For some reason, I paint as if I lived in the tropics, though I've spent most of my life in four-season states. I am known for vibrant, flowing abstract paintings and sensitive representational work.I have been creating and selling art work professionally since 1980, particularly acrylic or oil on canvas. My Chicago roots remain exposed. A recent, profound interest in the sciences has found its way into some of the art pieces, in the same way my deep social conscience has for many years.
