Donna Rosser is a fine art photographer. She is inspired by the usual everyday subject – but it is her unusual interpretation that makes her photos completely her own. Awesome compositions occur naturally – they are there to be seen. Donna’s photos are free, loose, and intriguing. With a museum-curator mother, a classic car flipping father and an education based in mathematics and psychology; Donna brings an interesting viewpoint to photography.
She is the founder of Fayette Photo Club and the Creator/Director of Nature Undisturbed Juried Photography Exhibit. In 2011 she became Executive Director of Serenbe Photography Center where she founded a member group and revamped the center's programming and focus. Donna also writes a popular blog and teaches photography workshops and retreats. She and Serenbe Photography Center are featured in the Fall 2012 edition of Lifestyles magazine. In 2013 she left Serenbe to pursue her personal work and to join the advisory board for SlowExposures.
At the age of 8 she received her first camera from her mother. Donna is a self-taught artist. Her family moved from the South to California and back. When her children entered high school, she looked for artistic fulfillment. Donna has shown painting and written a popular blog since 2007. She is best known for her photography.
From John A. Bennette on Donna's self-published book November Woods...."the photos are like music."
From The Center for Fine Art Photography...."Donna Rosser a.k.a. The Barefoot Photographer® incorporates the act of making a photograph into her appreciation of every day detail. As anyone who has ever been thankful to have a camera on hand can attest, photography encourages serendipity."
