I grew up in Southwestern Pennsylvania and left shortly after high school. While out West I worked as a cabinet maker and earned a BFA in sculpture and art education from Colorado State University. Since 1998 I have been creating sculpture and other works that draw from my previous career as a professional wood worker. Furthermore, my work as a pottery instructor and a high school art teacher after college has informed my practice and pushed me to innovative.
