Repetition signals endlessness. This concept is expressed in the construction of interactive, representative, and gestural passages. My current projects are inspired by an interest in creating and recreating architectural spaces, making earthworks sketches, and a desire to engage the public in a physical, sensory experience. The desire to move through corridors is psychologically innate and my work responds to that inner motivation.
I am particularly inspired by interstate highways, modular architecture, and caution colors. The regularity of vertical elements placed in sequence suggests a type of tactile rhythm. Within gallery installations, the context of site plays a key role in the final structural configuration. Using a simple approach and short material list, outdoor landscape interventions are another essential way to achieve a visual, physical tempo. All of my projects are organized so as to create a pulse, a pattern, and a domino effect.
