Beth Cartland was born in Kansas City, Mo and raised in Washington, DC. She studied art in California, as well as schools in Texas,Oklahoma, Missouri, and at the Rhode Island School of Design. Because of her husband's career in the military Beth has moved 22 times and feels that each move has opened her to new ideas and new art experiences.She has exhibited with the Arts and Embassies programs in Pakistan and Croatia and has gallery affiliations in New York City and Washington, DC. She has exhibited widely in the US and several countries overseas. Her studio is in Washington, DC where she produces vibrant abstract paintings filled with color, line, texture and passion.
