Cat Chiu Phillips creates installation work in public spaces often using traditional handicraft methods while encouraging collaborations within the community. She has had several public art commissions including the San Diego International Airport, Nashville International Airport, Riverside Art Museum, Westfield Horton Plaza San Diego, City of Pasadena (NEA Project), City of Vista, City of Solana Beach, City of Las Vegas, and City of Atlanta, Georgia. Phillips received her Masters of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute. She was born in Manila, Philippines, raised in Toronto, Canada, and lives and works in San Diego, California
