Catherine Chauvin

Catherine is an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Art History, in charge of the printmaking area at the University of Denver, teaching printmaking and drawing. Before DU, she worked at the University of North Texas, serving as the Master Printer and Director of a print shop in the School of Visual Arts (P.R.I.N.T. Press). Catherine trained at the Tamarind institute (UNM, Albuquerque, NM l996-98), after receiving her MFA in printmaking at Syracuse University in 1991. As a master printer, she has collaborated with many artists including William Wiley, Enrique Chagoya and Gladys Nilsson in New Mexico, Texas and at Anderson Ranch Arts Center (ARAC) in Snowmass Village, Colorado. She has an extensive exhibition record of her own, and recent residencies include The Sitka Center for Art and Ecology, Otis, Oregon and The Skopelos Foundation of Art, Skopelos, Greece.
