Although she studied illustration in college, when Cindy took a sculpture class, after she moved to Austin nearly 30 years ago, she knew that was the medium she wanted to work in for the rest of her life.
Cindy began doing both realistic and abstract sculptural works and still loves to do both. She has work in private and public collections. This year her realistic piece 'Life is Balancing Act' was purchased for a Sculpture Garden in Tucson, AZ and last year her life-size bronze bust of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. purchased by the White House for a Civil Rights exhibit. In the last five years her abstract works, started branching out and she began exploring combining 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional work. One of these you can see in the Austin Texas City Hall atrium called 'Evening at the Lake'.
