Trained since the age of two in dance, drama and music, Carole’s return to her beloved Texas Hill Country has inspired her to work in another area of art, the visual arts. As an emerging digital fine artist, Carole has become recognized and published both locally and nationally.
In her daily life, as well as being a digital painter, Carole is a horsewoman, dressage rider and trainer, an attorney, certified mediator, singer-songwriter, gallery owner and rancher in rural Texas.
A native born Texan, she grew up, lived in, and traveled throughout Texas, Central and South America, Europe and Canada. Her early education was in South America where she was educated in Spanish and English.
Later as an adult she lived in Florida, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey where she was a ranked tennis player, sang and played her own songs in clubs and concerts, recorded albums, acted on nationally televised soap operas, raised and trained thoroughbred race horses, earned her pilots license and explored the Florida Gulf Coast and its many islands, the Keys and the Bahamas in her boat and single engine plane. All of these experiences enriched Carole’s love and knowledge of different cultures and peoples, animals, bodies of water, landscapes, and the journey of the spirit which is reflected in her work.
Formerly represented by River’s Edge Gallery in Kerrville, Texas, Bandera Center for the Arts and Bandera Art Gallery in Bandera, Texas, Arte Gallery in Uvalde, Texas, and the Amsterdam-Whitney Gallery in Chelsea, NYC, Carole has had several one person shows, has exhibited on a continuing basis in galleries in Texas, Arizona (Gallery Andrea, Scottsdale, Arizona) and NYC, and has won numerous internet art contests and cash awards competing against conventional artists and photographers through 2015. Two years ago in a Gala for the benefit of the Arthur Nagle Clinic in Bandera, Texas, Carole’s painting of the Bandera County Courthouse clock tower took top honors in the live auction. Carole’s paintings have been accepted in juried competitions in Texas and other states and have been sold to collectors throughout the United States as well as abroad. Carole was invited to do a one-person show November 12 –December 10, 2014 at the Creekside Gallery, Hill Country Arts Foundation. Carole has also given digital painting demonstrations and art exhibitions in the Medina Library, Bandera County, Texas, the Dieter Center in Kerrville, Texas and the Hill Country Arts Foundation in Ingram where she sat on the Visual Arts Board. Summer 2012 her painting of Stonehenge II was selected to represent the Hill Country Arts Foundation on some of their new products In 2014 the City of Kerrville, Texas purchased her painting of the new Kerrville City Hall to hang in their Commissioner’s Court, and made this painting their official City notecard. Her work also proudly hangs in the Bandera County Courthouse.
Carole has done many commissioned portraits of pets, people and landscapes in 2011-2014 and donates pet portraits and greeting cards of pet portraits to various pet rescue groups for their benefits, auctions and raffles.
Presently she has begun to have her paintings encased in laminated glass for public art applications. Her vision was to translate her paintings into a way that might be safely and securely enjoyed outdoors as well as indoors in a product that is virtually indestructible, beautiful, safe, everlasting, and may be illuminated physically or just use nature to light the art. This process is innovative, unique and extremely well suited to various outdoor applications, allowing for vibrancy and color in outdoor art, and drawing the viewer into the scene with wonder and enjoyment. Carole is the first known person to use this method and may begin a new trend in outdoor public or private art.
For pieces encased in laminated glass, Carole has the ability to have her digital art imprinted on a film or directly on the glass itself using ceramic paints which is then laminated between two pieces of tempered glass, with UV filter, so that the glass art is virtually indestructible. It can be illuminated using solar lighting, or just natural sunlight. For indoor application it may also be produced with a remote control and dimmer activated micro-thin LED panel for wall hanging.
Carole’s glass art is currently featured in River’s Edge Gallery, Kerrville, Texas.
