Christy Kill is an abstract painter with international visibility. Her work hangs in 11 countries around the globe. As she has moved with her family to four countries, she has found new ways to continue her art practice. She is inspired by nature's movements and colors and she translates these emotions onto canvas. Her paintings are wispy and bold, and bring happiness with their expressionist style. Christy works with acrylic and resin, offering a high-gloss finish, and also produces heavily textured abstracts in oil.
Christy has exhibited in the Arlington Central Library, Gallery Underground, the Arlington County Board office, and McLean Project for the Arts. She has given proceeds and paintings to several NGO’s and charities that better serve children and the environment. A pair of her paintings titled “On the Shores of Iceland” were featured on a slideshow during ArtBasel Miami in December 2017, and are now on permanent display at the Iceland Ocean Cluster in Reykjavík, Iceland. In 2019 and 2023, she was the recipient of the U.S. State Department’s Professional Development Fellowship. In 2021, she was juried into an exhibition at the Mclean Project for the Arts.
