Born in Philadelphia, PA Claudine Metrick studied painting earning her MFA from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. She is an Assistant Professor of 2D Foundations at PrattMWP in Utica, NY. Her work has been exhibited at the Vessels’ Gallery formerly in Boston’s South End, as well as the Dedee Shattuck Gallery, Danforth Museum of Art, the New Bedford Art Museum, the Cotuit Center for the Arts, AS220, Morehead State University, and in the New York City area at the First Street Gallery and Curious Matter. Recent shows include a small group exhibition "Color Matters" at The Painting Center in New York City, and a group exhibition “Atypical Topographies” at Adams State University in Colorado. She was a finalist for the Walter Feldman Fellowship for Emerging Artists in Boston in 2015. She is currently part of the Boston Drawing Project at Carroll and Sons in Boston, MA.
