Appreciating the beauty of nature is a statement that guides Francisco in creating interesting artwork. As an artist, he has found an inner artistic voice which is a strong desire to capture the beauty of nature through brushstrokes on canvas.
Growing up in a small town in the Philippines where outdoor scenes are common, he developed at a very young age a penchant for nature. He later moved to Maui and, eventually, to Seattle. These two places further solidified his appreciation and love of nature and undeniably influenced his work as an artist.
Academic training in architecture gave him the knowledge and skills necessary in creating photorealist art. The concept of perspective, light source, shades, and shadows as well as color-mixing techniques are all utilized to produce his brand of art.
Moreover, he wants to use his artistic talent to promote the urgent message of environmental protection. Promoting public awareness about the magnificent but fragile condition of the physical environment that we live in would be his contribution to the growing social movement of protecting nature.
