Deborah Gross-Zuchman

Deborah Gross-Zuchman, a Philadelphia painter, received a Bachelor's Degree in Art Education from Temple University and a Master's Degree in Painting from the Goddard Graduate Program of Norwich University. She was an Art Demonstration Teacher and taught in the Philadelphia Public Schools for thirty-five years. She also worked as a Project Manager for several years at the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.
Gross-Zuchman travels with her husband, Philip Zuchman (also a painter)to paint the landscape in the U.S. and abroad en plein air.
In the studio, Gross-Zuchman concentrates on the technique of collage, using cut up papers that she has painted with an array of beautiful colors and textures.The subject matters ranges from representational to abstract.
She has also had a book of her poems and paintings about war, Windows Into War, published by Abingdon Square Publishers,NY in 2010. Seder for the 21st Century, a Passover Haggadah with emphasis on social justice and freedom, illustrated with her collages, is available upon request.
Gross-Zuchman exhibits her work throughout the United States and Europe.
