I grew up in Philadelphia, PA. My father was a graphic artist. I began painting as a child and in high school won an award in Bucks County for graphic design. I went on to receive a BFA in Painting from Kuztown University in 1972. I have been painting, Photographing, creating collage and murals for over 30 years. I recently started showing my photographs which I use for my paintings. I paint: sunsets, flowers, portraits, water scenes, snow scenes. I like to use a lot of vivid color, and will contrast with black or other darks. I have painted a full floor of murals for a special program for severely disabled children. I now print cards and prints of my work. I am a member of several art associations: MFA ( Maryland Federation of Art), HCAA (Hyattsville Community Arts Alliance), CAL (Chestertown Art League). I have shown at Montpelier Arts Center (Laurel MD), Circle Gallery and Marion Warren Gallery(Annapolis, MD),Design Studio Art Gallery(Hyattsville MD),CAL (Chestertown,MD), New Deal Cafe(Greenbelt,MD),and Franklin's Brewery(Hyattsville,MD), as well as the Prince George's Plaza Community Center Art Gallery, of which I am the curator. I most recently was invited to participate in a Library Show at the Universities at Shady Grove.
