I am passionate about my art and love passing on to others the tips and tricks I have learned. As an instructor of college and K - 12 grades, I am constantly being challenged by my students to explain processes and materials in new and different ways. Learning and demonstrating new techniques and materials ensures my own continued education and has encouraged me to start a blog on my website, Deb Guidot Art.
Watercolor has spontaneous energy which is a stimulus for my painting along with my love of color, light, and form. While I use a variety of materials and processes in different pieces, my approach is consistent. Contrast, texture, and variety are used to show my vision of my surroundings.
I hope my pieces challenge the viewers to think about “how they see” and appreciate it can be a journey of discovery.
