Darcy J Sears

Darcy J. Sears is a San Francisco Bay Area sculptor who has been working with clay for twenty-five years. Born in Southern California, she received a B.A. degree at the University of California, Santa Barbara.

Darcy’s work has been exhibited in galleries in both California and France. In the summer of 2007 she was an artist-in-residence at Saint-Quentin-la-Poterie, an artist town west of Avignon. At the end of the program she had a successful solo exposition of her work. She participated in the group exhibition, “France Amerique” in Paris and exhibited at the Claire de Villaret Galerie.

In California Darcy’s sculptures have been shown at many art venues, including the Alice- Rice Gallery in Laguna Beach, the Toadfish Gallery and Cavallo Point Hotel Galleries in Sausalito.

Darcy’s sculptures are in private collections in the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Darcy lives with her family and two dogs in Larkspur, CA. She has always enjoyed being part of a community of artists and her studio is in the Industrial Center Building (ICB), one of the largest collectives of professional artists on the West Coast.
