Darlene Yeager-Torre is a fine art photographer based in Columbus, Ohio. Inspired by the beauty light brings to both natural and manmade environments, she specializes in a technique known as painting with light which is done outside at night or in a dark room inside. From night landscapes to still lifes created in her studio, the common elements are off camera, handheld lights and extremely long exposures. The results are luminous images.
Despite the difficulty of low light and night photography, the resulting images energize her and fuel her creative spirit. In addition to solo exhibits, her work has been juried into numerous regional, national and international exhibits.
