Cheryl Frey Richards is a painter, illustrator and designer originally from the Cleveland, OH area. She currently lives and works on Long Island in New York. Cheryl has been a professional artist for the past 12 years. Her artwork has been exhibited in several galleries throughout the Midwest and Northeastern United States and her paintings and drawings are apart of several national and international private collections. Cheryl’s work is an anthropologic view of human behavior and emotions and their complexity. As well as painting and drawing, Cheryl creates and teaches interactive art history classes to children of all ages through public programs in New York and Ohio. She stresses the importance of combining art with all subjects in childhood education. Cheryl Frey Richards received her B.A. in Art History and Fine Arts from Valparaiso University in 1999.
