Gregory G. Dolnikowski is a research scientist at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging and a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University.
Dolnikowski’s genre spanning artwork includes portraits, seascapes, abstract paintings and photography. Much of Dolnikowski’s maritime themed work explores the unending liminalspace where sea meets sky. Dolnikowski’s paintings capture both the exuberant and reflective moments of maritime culture as well as the complex apparatus of sailboats and sailing ships.Additionally, Dolnikowski’s series of acrylic on canvas abstracts capture the moments of both anticipation and discovery when science collides with emotion. The pieces are largely created in and of themoment and reward careful observers with their dazzlingly lucid complexity.
Dr. Dolnikowski’s work can be found in private art collections. His work has been widely exhibited in commercial and civic spaces, including the Thayer Memorial Library (Lancaster)and the Tufts University/Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging (Boston). His ‘Becalmed’ series is currently on display at the Maritime Garage Gallery (Norwalk, Connecticut) throughJuly, 2016. His mixed media
