Jessica E. Barber is a Mixed Media Artist and Printmaker currently residing in the Philadelphia region. A 1999 graduate of Indiana University of PA, she has participated in both solo shows and group exhibitions. She is a co-founder of the newly formed gallery, Art on Avenue of the States (Chester, PA) and has affiliations with Twenty-Two Gallery and The Plastic Club in Philadelphia.
Barber's work varies in content. Much of her figurative and abstract landcape work is loose, colorful and painterly. However, her recent work has become more graphic, and her focus has increasingly turned to the relationship of the human experience with the industrial landscape. Her inspiration for her new work has been her local environment of Delaware County, PA.
