Born in Canada, raised in New York, LGS is a naturalized American citizen who currently lives in south Florida with her husband, the sculptor James Sagui. She studied at Sarah Lawrence College, NY where she received a BA in 1977 and continued her painting studies in Paris at the Beaux Arts and la Grande Chaumiere.
