I was born in Rawlins, Wyoming and raised in Northern California. In 2004, I received my Bachelor of Art with honors from California State University Chico in art education with a concentration in ceramics. I then spent several years as an apprentice at Hoyman Browe pottery studio in Ukiah, California. In 2007, I began graduate school at Rochester Institute of Technology's School for American Craft in Rochester, New York. I received my Master of Fine Art in ceramic sculpture in May of 2009.
My work is a social commentary on American consumerism; personal identity through material goods, and the waste that material consumption creates in our mass-consumer culture.
