My first art exhibit was at the Central library here in Indianapolis called The MEET THE ARTIST GALA back in 2000,I was so nervous I could have hid in a corner somewhere, but soon as the show began people were so nice and friendly I felt as if I had just burst out of a cocoon. Then I began to work on creative projects and events anything that had anything to do with art. I became an assisted to a well known artist here in Indiana cleaning, cutting and gessoing her canvases and/or large cuts of Arches rag paper for painting, I love that so much. I have exhibited my work at the Indianapolis Arts Garden in 2009/2010 and twice at the Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler university 2011/12 here in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have loved art since my very first art class in Charles Drew Elementary school in Gary, Indiana. I have exhibited my artwork at other venues like other libraries across the state , The Indianapolis Children museum. I have volunteered My time and service to projects that assist handicap children and adults in creating art.I have received accomplishment awards in art from IU sorority called the Alpha Omega Psi and from the Meet The Artist XII from the MARION COUNTY LIBRARY FOUNDATION INDIANPOLIS IN 2000. I have exhibited my work at the Garfield Parks Gallery, and other venues.
