James Bockelman is an associate professor of art at Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska where he teaches painting and drawing. In 1997, Bockelman earned the Master of Fine Arts degree in painting from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. In addition to exhibiting in numerous group shows throughout the Mid West, Bockelman’s art was featured in solo exhibitions at the Sheldon Memorial Museum of Art in Lincoln and the Museum of Nebraska Art in Kearney, Nebraska. A recipient of a Nebraska Arts Fellowship Merit Award in 2007, his work was recently exhibited at the Kunstoffice in Berlin, Germany.
