Joanna Kidd is a sculptor, printmaker, and video installation artist. After graduating in Philosophy and Cognitive Science from Dartmouth College, she studied Printmaking and Sculpture at San Francisco State University. She then moved to Florence, Italy where she lived for eight years. She received a BFA and an MFA from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze. In 2012 she was an Artist in Residence at Everglades National Park and at Arts Benicia. Her work has been shown in exhibitions and video festivals in Italy, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, England, France, the United States and at "Summer Break 2013" at The San Diego Museum of Art and the Stockholm Fringe Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work is included in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the California Society of Printmakers archives at the UC Berkeley Bancroft Library. She has taught Art at Yuba College, Sacramento State University, Woodland Community College, and Cosumnes River College. She currently teaches at Folsom Lake College.
