I moved to Taos, New Mexico in the summer of 1993 and have been focused on making art ever since. I explore many mediums from printmaking - including monotype and chine collé - to painting, sculpture, and photography. In my chine collé practice I often work with old paper, pages from old books, ephemera and found objects, often adding intuitive drawing and mark making. I unify these elements through the use of an etching press. When I paint I also often incorporate collaged elements in subtle layers with acrylic glazes. Around 2007 I began working in sculpture and create what I call my ‘contemporary relics’ from cement, earth, sand and found objects. I have long been drawn to the beauty of the discarded and am intrigued and thrilled by the transformation that occurs via nature’s softening presence. I am deeply inspired by the dialogue between nature and human culture through layers of time. My process is primarily intuitive as I let inspiration guide my hand as well as my choice of medium as I work.

I have exhibited widely over these past 30 years both regionally and internationally and have work included in several museum collections. I am also grateful to have previously exhibited with the Art in Embassies program in 2018 at the U.S. Embassy residence in Namibia.
