Karen Anne Glick

Karen Anne Glick has been a wanderer since birth. Born into a Navy family, marrying a Naval officer, and, after earning her degree in Fine Arts, serving as a Naval officer herself for 24 years , meant a total of 29 moves before settling into her present home. The many moves afforded her the opportunity to live throughout the United States as well as in three foreign countries for extended periods of time. Her immersion in, and love of, the cultures of Norway, Italy, and Japan continues to inform her work.

Karen Anne's peripatetic lifestyle influenced her commitment to not limit herself to any one medium in her creative work. As a multidisciplinary artist, she enjoys the freedom to explore ideas and follow wherever they lead. Her work has focused on textile paintings and quilted drawings in recent years, but works on paper and sculptural works have always been produced concurrently.

Karen lives in Carlisle, Pennsylvania with her husband. She maintains her studio on the third floor of their home. In addition to her creative work, Karen Anne is a Reiki master/teacher.
