kathy erteman

Kathy Erteman was raised in Southern California. She received her BFA from California State University Long Beach with additional studies at UCLA. She worked with Judy Chicago on ceramic aspects of the Dinner Party Project shortly after graduation .
Her work has been exhibited internationally and is included in private and public collections including The Renwick Gallery/Smithsonian Institute, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Taipei Museum of Fine Arts and SC Johnson Collection.
A full time studio artist she has designed ceramics for Tiffany, Crate and Barrel, and Dansk in addition to her own studio works. . Kathy has taught at Parsons Scool of Design and been a guest lecturer at The Brooklyn Museum, Bezalel Academy of Art, Jerusalem and currently teaches at Greenwich House Pottery in New York City.
Recently she worked with Tibetan Potters in Yunnan China as part of the State Department Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs Cultural Exchange Program and as a Design Consultant for Aid To Artisans/ The Mountain Institute/USAID.
