Kurt Stubbins

Kurt Stubbins is an artist living in San Francisco. With a Master of Architecture he won the AIA’s Henry Adam’s Medal designing buildings ranging from a Buddhist Temple to a Modernist Market Hall. Earlier in his career, after designing for Calvin Klein and Polo Ralph Lauren he found his way to Richard Artschwager’s studio. Working as an assistant he built Richard’s Untitled plywood sculptures, frames for celotex paintings and restored damaged works in a range of mediums. Kurt is also a graduate of Marlboro College with Highest Honors and the recipient of an N.E.H Fellowship.
