Julie Martin is a native of Portland, Oregon, USA. She has lived in various countries throughout her life including Germany, Puerto Rico, Ireland, Spain, and has traveled throughout the world. She holds honorary degrees from Portland State University in graphic design and sculpture as well as an MFA from Vermont College. Her biography has been included in ‘Marquis’ Who’s Who of American Women’ and most recently her work was selected for inclusion in the invitational series ‘Best of American Artists’.

Spanning an art career of over 30 years, Ms. Martin has exhibited her work nationally and internationally. For five years, she was proprietor and curator of Bella Perla Gallery in Portland, Oregon. Currently, Ms. Martin is enjoying life as a retired gallerist; traveling, spending time with family and friends and continuing her studio practice as artist. She is now a resident of both Portland, Oregon and Greenville, South Carolina.
