Where does the picturesque landscape of the South of France meet the late sunset on Cape Cod? Or, south of Nantucket’s seaside, where does the Caribbean Sea meet Haiti’s rugged and almost untouched countryside? They meet in the rich and vibrant landscape paintings of international fine artist, Yolène Legrand.
Ms. Legrand’s use of colors and light are exhibited throughout her paintings of Haiti, New England, Southern France and the landscapes of Central Park in New York City. Her paintings capture the true essence of these places rendering their natural beauty and radiance.
A professional artist since the mid-90s, Legrand’s work has been regularly exhibited in select galleries and museums in the Americas and Europe, including:

Legrand’s dedication to the field of fine arts has been profound; hailing from the international banking world, she turned passion into images that have resonated in a very short time. That commitment continued to the turn of the century where Legrand was seen as a burgeoning artist in the world of art. Her special use of color and light is seen throughout her landscape paintings.
Originally from Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Legrand currently calls New York City home. She honed her fine art skills at the Art Students League of New York where she studied anatomy and figure drawing with the late Kay Hazelip and oil painting with the noted colorists Peter Homitzky and Leatrice Rose and portrait-painting with David Leffel and also holds an MBA degree in Finance from New York University.
She has taught art for many years and now occasionally, conducts painting workshops for small groups of artists at all levels in various locations.
