Amanda Edwards

I've been creating art throughout my life. When I discovered mosaics in 2004, most other art forms could no longer compete with my love of glass. I began with creating mosaics that became part of the structure of a home. - doing both large and small installations. However, limiting myself to installations was just not an option for me. Everywhere I looked, I was seeing things that needed to be covered with glass.

I live in Coastal Maine, with my husband, three children, feisty dog, and old cat.

The color and texture that mosaics add to a space make me incredibly happy. ...and creating mosaics for other people has added a whole new level of joy to something that I already loved so much.

I was honored to be asked to be a part of the Somerville Museum's exhibit on Contemporary Mosaics.

Locally, you can see my work in different galleries, in Maine & around New England, through out the year. In 2011, my work will be on exhibit in Chicago, and London, and will also be published in 2 books on Mosaic Art. Please look at my website http://www.mandolinmosaics.com for current and future show listings.
