Margarida Moniz was born in Lisbon, Portugal and grew up surrounded by medieval castles, ancient legends and old paintings like in all small European countries. As a teenager, she moved to Brazil where the overflow of art, colors, music and tropical nature filtered her perceptions and expressions of art and communication. The pleasure and the love for beauty and fantasy is in all her paintings. Later, after traveling around the world, she allowed California to steal her heart. Here, surrounded by family and friends, she is finally re-connecting with her first love...Art!
