Madeleine has artist books included in collections at such places as the Art Institute of Chicago, the National Museum of Women in the Arts in DC, at Bowdoin College in Maine and the Center for Book Arts in NYC. Arthurs' artwork can also be found on the Drawing Center's Viewing Program's online Artist Registry, NYC.

Among other exhibitions, Arthurs has been in various group shows at the Ronald Feldman Gallery (NYC), Exit Art (NYC), the School of Visual Arts Galleries (NYC, NY), Local Project Gallery (LIC, NYC), City without Walls (Newark, NJ), Tower Art Gallery, and SUNY Brockport (NY).
