Mark Dean Veca lives and works in Los Angeles. He received a BFA from Otis Art Institute, Los Angeles in 1985.
Veca has exhibited extensively in solo and group exhibitions internationally at venues including: The Museum of Modern Art, New York City; The Drawing Center, New York City; Bloomberg Space, London, UK; Instituto Cultural de Cabanas, Guadalajara, Mexico; and the San Jose Museum of Art, San Jose, CA.
Recent solo exhibitions include: Mark Dean Veca: Selected Works, Duke Art Gallery, Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA; Pony Show, Site:Lab, Grand Rapids, MI (2015); Everlast, Western Project, Los Angeles (2014); and Made For You and Me, Cristin Tierney Gallery, New York (2013).

He received fellowships from The New York Foundation for the Arts in 1998, 2002, and 2008, The Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2006, and a City of Los Angeles (C.O.L.A.) Grant in 2011. His work has been reviewed in numerous publications including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, Time Out New York, Artforum, Art in America, Art Review, Juxtapoz, and Hi Fructose.
