Melissa Husted-Sherman has BA in psychology and MC in counseling from the University of Delaware. She has had solo and group exhibitions throughout the Philadelphia region. In 2000 she won a Leeway Foundation Seedling Grant for Emerging Artists in Painting. Her work has always centered on the natural world, with time become more concerned with the essentials of light and color and less focused on a pure representation of reality. She lives and works in Pennsylvania.
