Michel Lunanga

My name is Michel Lunanga Ushindi,
A Congolese-born native of Bukavu and brought up in Goma, the Eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, I draw my inspiration from my experiences growing up in Congo, to inspire my artistic journey.
As a young entrepreneur, photographer and filmmaker based in Nairobi, Kenya, traveling have played an important role in all my endeavors. I studied Multimedia at the National College of Art and Design in Guangzhou, China. I took part in a professional shooting during my time in China while traveling to many parts of the country to explore and experience the Chinese culture and scenery.
Currently, I head the Media department at CAMME, a non-profit organization based in Goma, which supports marginalized and exploited youth in the region. I teach photography and filmmaking to educate and empower young men and women to make a living as well as to pass on the knowledge to contribute to the greater development of the country.
The Photography company (Life Through Arts) that I founded currently offers various services such as personal and group photography & Video Projects, events coverage and wedding photography, restaurant shoots among other related services.
