Nadia Russ, aka Nadejda Maloletneva, is a Ukrainian-born Russian artist. Born in a Ukrainian town of Konotop (December 13, 1959), in 1976, she moved to Russia. Since 1979 up until she moved to the Bahamas (Grand Bahama) in 1996, she resided in Moscow. In 2000, she moved to the USA (NYC). Nadia Russ began practicing painting and drawing seriously when she was 28, in Moscow. Her first exhibition (in a group with other Moscow's artists) took place in the most famous exhibition venue of Russia - Manege. She was exhibiting there 6 her ink/pen drawing made in a new drawing manner, which later she named NeoPopRealism. Creating a new style of visual arts was the main her focus and a reason why she began to draw and paint seriously. She refused to be a "follower" in visual arts. Her artwork was exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions in Russia and other countries worldwide. Some of her painting and drawing were collected by several museums and can be found in their permanent collections. Nadia Russ published a few instructional books on how to draw NeoPopRealism and a few books of her Photography she made when traveling in different states of the US. Her autobiographical book "DECA-DaNCE" is a collection of chapters that describe sometimes with humor her life and adventures in Ukraine, Russia, Cyprus, Bahamas and the US. Nadia Russ was in a juror panel of a few international and national art contests. Her art was profiled in many different newspapers and magazines internationally.
